Sponsor Request Letter:
I am writing on behalf of the Durango Youth Soccer Association (DYSA) and the Durango Shootout for the 2013 soccer season.
DYSA is a non-profit organization devoted to the development of the sport of soccer in and around the Durango area. We are committed to educating young people aged 8-18 about the importance of sportsmanship and fellowship whilst providing a high quality soccer experience that will give them a strong foundation to build upon. The Shootout tournament is our primary fundraiser for the year and offers businesses visibility for the 140+ local and visiting teams.
The philosophy of DYSA is to give every interested child the opportunity to play and with your help we can continue to provide financial support for each player requesting financial assistance. Over the past soccer season DYSA has provided scholarships for 40 youth soccer players and their families. These scholarships, based on individual financial need, have helped cover club fees, uniform and tournament costs. Sponsorship contributions also support player development at practices, games and tournaments.
First established in 1995, the Durango Shootout has grown to become one of the largest sporting events in the Four Corners area. In 2012 the city of Durango welcomed over 140 youth soccer teams from across the western United States. Teams from TColorado, New Mexico to Arizona bring families and friends to enjoy the soccer festival atmosphere and a getaway vacation. The three-day competition brings a strong economic injection into our community.
With your financial help, DYSA and the Shootout Tournament will continue to give every young person in the Durango community an opportunity to play soccer and develop important characteristics that will help them through their young life and beyond. Sponsor Level offerings are below.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please feel free to contact me personally to learn more about DYSA and our scholarship project.
Sincerely,
Kate Stahlin
