G.O.A.L. - Go Out And Lead

Durango Youth Soccer Association, in partnership with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, introduces the G.O.A.L. program to encourage players to give back to their community with off-field volunteer efforts in community service. Over the years several teams have stepped up to assist with volunteer projects that they found both rewarding and a teambuilding opportunity.

For 2011-2012, DYSA with the assistance of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is planning to host 3 spring and 3 fall volunteer team initiatives:

TOPSoccer - a one day event for adults and children with disabilities. Participants will spend the afternoon with Fort Lewis College and DYSA athletes participating is a variety of soccer-related activities. Program was developed by US Youth Soccer Association.
Food Drive - Canned Food Drive at Copa del Sol Touranment on Oct 22, 2011 at Fort Lewis College
Trash pickup day
Uniform exchange - Old uniforms will be recycled into the village of Sandy Bay, Roatan, Honduras done in partnership with www.care4communities.com . Along with this uniforms will be donated to the Ssenjinja Foundation www.ssejinja.org
Recycling - plastic recycling program at Shootout and Escalante
Suggest a cause - teams or individuals can suggest a volunteer activity that benefits the community

About Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is an international franchisor, confectionery manufacturer and retail operator in the United States, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. The Company is based in the charming old-west town of Durango located on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains in southwestern Colorado. From its 53,000 square foot factory, the Company manufactures an extensive line of premium chocolate candies and other confectionery products to supply its many franchise locations, delivered fresh by its fleet of refrigerated trucks.

The factory typically produces approximately 300 chocolate candies and other confectionery products, using proprietary recipes developed primarily by its master candy maker. These products include many varieties of clusters, caramels, creams, meltaways, truffles and molded chocolates. Individual stores prepare a variety of caramel and candy apples, fudge, chocolate items and confections in full view of the customer using traditional cooking utensils such as copper kettles on gas-fired stoves and marble slab cooling tables.

In 1985 the Company went public and is now traded on the NASDAQ exchange under the symbol "RMCF".
