Explosion-Dynamite Combination a Success at Copa del Sol

The Durango United Explosion and the Durango Dynamite combined players to create four small teams for the Copa del Sol Soccer Tournament on Oct 10th. The teams dominated play with two 1st place finishes, a 2nd place, and a 3rd place finish in two U11 divisions. Congratulations to the following players for their outstanding teamwork:

Division 9: 1st Place:  Strykers (Dynamite-Explosion 2):  Allison Davis, Rosie Fox, Celia Hale, Risa Holmes, Abigail Scott, Maddie Shaline

Division 9:  2nd Place:  T-N-T (Dynamite-Explosion 1):  Callie Huckins, Whitney Huckins, Julia Petty, Kaitlin Swann, Chloe Taylor, Shea Toner

Lighting Bolts Strike Gold in Farmington

The Durango Lightning Bolts divided into two teams and took first and second places in separate brackets in the Four Corners Turf Wars 3 v 3 tournament in Farmington last weekend. The second place team barely fell short after a double overtime shootout in the bracket championship game. The girls on the first place team were Raya Harrison, Callie Huckins, Whitney Huckins and Olivia Sakadinsky. The second place team consisted of Briana Brown, Lindsay Brown, Carly Copeland, Risa Holmes and Jillian Lunt. Both teams were coached by Nikki Kolof.
