U18G Volunteer at Heartfest 2014

Durango, CO - September 20, 2014 -  The U18G volunteered at Heartfest 2014, a fundraiser for Liam Maddox, at the Powerhouse Museum. The girls entertained kids at the various museum work stations, supported the catering staff, and helped clean up at end of event. It was a fun event for a great cause.

Liam Blake Maddox was born on November 1, 2013 to Paul Maddox and Jaci Wright in Durango, CO. A happy and healthy baby boy, Liam and Jaci took a trip to Jaci's hometown of Wrangell, Alaska to visit family and friends. During their trip, Liam became sick and was admitted into the Wrangell hospital and went into heart failure. He and Jaci were airlifted to Seattle Children's Hospital and shortly after arrival he was diagnosed with Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy and would require a heart transplant. With Paul and Jaci by his side, Liam underwent the life-saving surgery on April 19, 2014, just a few weeks after his arrival in Seattle.
