'06 & '05 8th Grade Girls Identification Training Info for Fall 2019 Teams

Here is information on '06 Girls & '05 8th Graders Player Identification Training (tryouts) for 2019-2020 Teams.

'05 8th Grade girls are classified as 15U. The majority of 15U players are in 9th grade. During the fall of 2019 the 8th grade 15U girls will either play with the 15U 9th graders or the '06 girls.  This will be at the discretion of the Director of Coaching. In the Spring of 2020 the 9th grade 15U girls will play for Durango High School. Because of this, the 15U 8th graders who played up with the 9th graders in the fall will have to be placed with an '05/06 team for the spring.

Additionally, the Directors of Coaching and the current age group coaches will be continually evaluating players over the course of the 2019 Spring season to add to the identification process. If a player cannot attend both nights we will use the one night plus their regular coach's evaluation for placement.

There will be a $10 administrative fee for all players who would like to attend the Identification Training.  Players will not participate in the identification training without registration and payment of the $10.00 fee. Players MUST bring both their Yellow and Blue game jerseys to the identification trainings in order to be identified throughout the tryout. Players who are new to RRDSC will be given a training bib in leiu of the jersey

Team structure is at the discretion of the Directors of Coaching.  This is highly dependent on player pool numbers and ability level in the group.

*Registration is June 1 - JULY 1.

If a player makes the Select team, they will be accountable for the following commitments.

Team Commitment:
Two practices a week (90 minutes)
Duke City Soccer League: 4 Saturdays of doubleheaders in Albuquerque, NM
Tournaments: 2-3 per a season

*If you want to play soccer, but are not interested in an ability based team you DO NOT have to attend the ID Training.  Instead, all you have to do is register your player and he will be placed on an age/skill appropriate team.
