Teddy Rodd, a member of DYSA U10 boys team coached by Dan McGuinness, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor that grew from the middle of his back inside the spinal column up through the lower part of his brain.  He was Medevaced from Durango to The Children’s Hospital in Denver, CO. For more info on Teddy go to: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/teddyrodd

This coming Monday, the Durango Herald will run a story on Teddy to promote a 1 mile and a 5k run in his honor on February 13 at 10:00am sponsored by the Durango Rec Center and the First Baptist Church of Durango.  Before the Herald runs the story, you’ll also probably notice the flyers and posters around town with the details. 

Teddy will most likely not play soccer for a very long time given that he still can’t feel much from the waist down and that he’ll be receiving chemo for at least the next 14 months.
