Coaching Objective

Develop perfect technique to allow players to successfully understand how to apply the tactics of Futsal or soccer as well as adapting to changes in either game.

Coaching Experience

*Have coached virtually ever age group for U7-U19 boy’s teams and U10-U17 girl’s club teams.

*Head Coach for U16 District ODP boys, as well assistant coach for Men’s Community College and Division III Men’s College programs (1986-present).

*District and State ODP evaluator for U14-U16 Boy’s and Girls (Morgan Hill, CA) (various times between 2001-2009)

*Every team of mine experienced a great deal of improvement in their technical abilities to dribble, pass, shoot with power and accuracy, and defend both individually and in a group. More sophisticated tactics were incorporated as the technical skills improved.

*Familiar building new programs and taking over established middle school and high school teams as a head coach, asst. coach, and goalie coach.

*Have worked as a staff coach for several local summer soccer camps, including Stanford University, YMCA and currently at Deanza Community College.

* Founded a soccer/Futsal instruction company called Creative Soccer Instruction in 2000, and have run a successful soccer/Futsal summer camps since 2006.

* Teach Futsal classes for 5-8 year olds and took over the after school soccer program at Castro School Elementary School for K-3rd graders in 2008 (Mountain View, CA).

* Developed a very successful private training program for players that are on the L.A. Galaxy U16 academy team, and have been offered scholarships at several American colleges and universities. This program emphasizes developing perfect technique under constraints of time and space.

Personal Information

Born in Moses Lake, WA on October 21, 1960. Excellent health. Hobbies include physics, history of science, photography, poetry, reading and music. Married (Nicole) with two children (Keegan & Donovan) and two dogs (Pele & Pelota).
